We-Chemie is a flagship initiative of BASF implemented by Somaiya Vidyavihar University, supported by Indian Chemical Council, to empower women with academic backgrounds in chemistry to transition successfully into careers in the chemical and allied industries. The program bridges the gap between academic learning and industry expectations through a structured curriculum that integrates technical knowledge, industry exposure, professional skill development, and mentorship. By combining expert-led sessions, industry interactions, site visits, and career guidance, We-Chemie aims to enhance employability, build confidence, and prepare participants for meaningful roles across the chemical manufacturing and related sectors.
